Session Four Title: A Welcome Home: Supporting Justice-Involved Individuals with the Transition to Community
Summary: In this final session, we will bring the perspective of community into the space, thinking about the various aspects of reentry that could affect the risk of overdose, repeating a harmful cycle for those who are formally incarcerated. This session will also build, amongst providers, useful safety plans, resources, and community connections that allow the person to make better choices for themselves and the families they are involved in. This session will also highlight barriers within the social and medical systems that affect one’s ability to commit to wellness through case studies and resource mapping for both in-person and online support.
